EC America selected for a second term on GSA's IT Industry Government Council (ITIGC).
Gaithersburg, MD, September 2007 - EC America, a leading small veteran owned contractor providing technology solutions to the Federal Government has been selected to serve a second three year term on GSA's Industry Advisory Council.
The IT Industry Government Council (ITIGC) was established in July of 2003 as an advisory group for the Center for IT Schedule Programs. The council is comprised of representatives from GSA, the IT industry, and customer agencies. The members were objectively selected by GSA to represent and address all business concerns.
The council meets quarterly and makes recommendations to GSA yearly. GSA then has the opportunity to follow through with or dismiss recommendations proposed. The council serves strictly in an advisory capacity. The council does not create policy or new programs.

In addition to serving on the council, Peter Schwartz has also chaired the Cooperative Purchasing Subcommittee since the councils inception in 2003.
